LAS FLORES SCENIC TRAIL MARATHON & HALF MARATHON
START : 7:00AM - Sunday June 13th, 2010
WHERE : Arroyo Trabucco Trail, 26111 Antonio Parkway, Las Flores, CA. -
Directions to Race Start: Take the 5 freeway and exit at Oso Parkway. Go east to Antonio and turn right.
COURSE DESCRIPTION :
Start at the Santa Margarita Water District Parking lot. Run down the single track trail for ½ mile and connect to the Trabuco Creek Road/Trail. Go north on fire road, crossing the creek at approximately one mile. Run under the Oso Parkway bridge and make a right turn dropping into the creek bed. Make another creek crossing and continue on the Trabuco Creek trail. You will make two more creek crossings until you reach the turnaround point at 3.28 miles as you follow the main trail. This is a very scenic route with a combination of single track and fire road, water crossings in which you will get your feet wet, and lots of canopy. Do the out and back twice for the ½ marathon, four times for the full marathon. One aid station located at the start/finish area.
